What are the responsibilities and job description for the GOLF SHOP SALES PROFESSIONAL position at Tahoe Mountain Club?
Job Summary: As a member of the sales team you are responsible for providing our clientele with excellent customer service and merchandise sales skills in the golf shop. The golf shop team is required to provide customers with positive, informative information of our golf course and the merchandise available for sale. You will be responsible for knowing availability of tee times for the course on any particular day and the daily conditions of the course upon start of shift. The golf shop team is required to book tee times and quote appropriate rates, informing the guests of the facilities located on-site and required dress code for the golf course. Efficient use of the Point-of-Sale system is required and includes charging greens fees, cart rentals, merchandise sales and maintaining inventory at correct values.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Advise members and guests about on-site facilities, proper attire, golf clubs and related supplies, conditions of golf course, etc.
- Arrange and display pro shop inventory in a desirable fashion.
- Record all sales transactions.
- Collect and record greens fees and cart rental fees.
- Issue receipts for greens fees and cart rentals.
- Take messages for members who may be on the course.
- Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.
- Recruit tournament participants.
- Assist in special orders.
- Maintaining inventory
- Other job duties as assigned
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.
Qualifications:Education/Experience: Previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates use are in English).
Certificates/Licenses/Safet Training: Golf Cart Safety, CPR Preferred
Salary : $18 - $21
