JOB TITLE: Bi-Lingual Interpreter
JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE:
Assist with classroom instruction and activities involving ELL students under supervision of classroom and ELL teachers. Assist with administrative duties which require translation, such as helping parents to enroll students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have completed 48 college hours, possess an Associates Degree, or successful completion of ParaPro Assessment. English and Spanish fluency adequate to correctly communicate instructional and administrative needs to students and parents. Teaching experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Implement activities developed to support grade level objectives under the supervision of the classroom and ELL teachers.
- Facilitate mainstreaming activities of ELL students.
- Translate for students, parents, teachers and administrators as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
