We are seeking a motivated and dependable Owner Operator with expertise in belly dump trucks to join our dynamic transportation team. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating your own belly dump truck to transport and deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Responsibilities
- Operate your own belly dump truck with precision, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and transportation of freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, or other bulk commodities using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your truck to ensure it is in optimal condition for daily operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and cargo details for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations during every trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly.
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety and load integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating belly dump trucks or similar heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating tractor-trailers or dump trucks.
- Strong knowledge of manual transmission systems commonly used in heavy-duty trucks.
- Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or freight delivery vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other loading equipment when necessary.
- Familiarity with route driving strategies to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
