Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 based upon experience.
We are adding a high energy, positive, knowledgeable, Food Service Director with a strong work ethic to work in a prestigious independent school here in the Twin Cities running a school lunch program. You will be responsible for client and community relationships, budgets, and P&L. Your culinary knowledge to oversee kitchen production will be impressive, as well as your meal production skills.

The ideal candidate is able to elevate the current food service program and maintain the high level of relationships developed from the past FSD. They should be passionate about delivering a best-in-class guest experience. A high engagement with the kids, families, and the community through participation in key events at the school is necessary to build the rapport between the school community and foodservice.
As our Food Service Director, you will be engaged in daily "hands-on" management and training of the kitchen staff. Due to your exemplary customer service skills, you will enjoy developing and growing client and customer relationships.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing menus to fit the needs of the community
- Coordinating high-end client catering events
- Implementing and maintaining HACCP standards
- Providing outstanding catering events
- Communicating clearly, professionally, and effectively
- Delivering budgeted financial results
- Manages by providing constructive feedback in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate employees
- Managing ordering and inventory
- Leading daily production
- Overseeing cash management
- Maintain and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operational standards
Requirements:
- Must have ServSafe certification
- Ability to manage food cost
- Must have P&L experience
- Ability to manage a staff
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft products
- Catering experience required
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
