Position: Paraprofessional
Reports To: Richard Cameron
Work Year Days: 2026–2027 School Year
Work Hours: Full School Day
Educational/Training/Experience/License Required:
- Associate’s Degree, completion of 48 college credits, or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or related setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administration.
- Commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive student population.
- Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups under the direction of a certified teacher.
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with academic, organizational, and behavioral needs.
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment.
- Assist with supervision duties (e.g., hallways, lunch, arrival/dismissal) as assigned.
- Support students with special needs, including implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Assist with classroom preparation, materials, and organization.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
- Must successfully pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts law.
