Network Analyst
The Network Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of network and voice infrastructure within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all network systems supporting production operations, industrial control systems, data acquisition, and enterprise applications. The Network Analyst works closely with global IT, production, and engineering teams to maintain secure, high-availability networks that enable the company's operational and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute network architecture and design plans aligned with manufacturing and business requirements.
- Design, configure, deploy and maintain network and voice systems (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, PBX/VoIP) ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Plan and implement network and voice infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle replacements.
- Monitor and maintain day-to-day network and voice system performance across manufacturing and corporate environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, voice, and remote access issues in collaboration with helpdesk and support teams.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate maintenance, service, and project activities with internal and external partners.
- Configure and manage network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists.
- Enforce global and local security policies to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Stay current on emerging threats and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Support and maintain auxiliary systems such as CCTV, physical access control, UPS, and public address systems.
- Assist with datacenter and virtual infrastructure management tasks as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, topology diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Lead or participate in local and global network projects, including system migrations and new installations.
- Mentor junior staff and share best practices for troubleshooting and system management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related
- field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network ) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructures in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Experience with network security practices and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Primarily office-based with occasional requirements to visit manufacturing sites.
- On-call availability may be required for critical network issues and emergencies.
- Ability to travel up to 15% (Some international travel may be required).
