Operations & Sales Assistant (Part-Time)
We are a well-established estate tag sale and clean-out company with over 30 years of experience serving Long Island. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Operations and Sales Assistant to help support our growing business. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced small business environment and wants the opportunity to grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Schedule appointments and coordinate estate sale and clean-out projects
- Maintain calendars and assist with day-to-day business operations
- Photograph, research, catalog, and list items for online resale and auction platforms
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bookkeeping and data entry
- Update the company website as needed
- Assist with email marketing campaigns and social media management
- Coordinate multiple projects while maintaining organized records
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members in a professional manner
- Assist management with special projects and operational improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and help drive the business forward
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience required
- Bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with website updates, email marketing, and social media management
- Experience using online resale and auction platforms such as eBay, AuctionNinja, Facebook Marketplace, Chairish, Etsy, Craigslist, EstateSales.net or similar marketplaces is highly preferred
- Ability to research and identify the value of antiques, collectibles, artwork, furniture, jewelry, and household items is a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Superior customer service and people skills are essential
Position Details
- Part-time (15β20 hours per week)
- Pay: $24.00 per hour, based on experience
