Job Overview – Per Diem Direct Support Professional (Residential Care):
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Bennington, VT
Schedule: Per diem, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Per Diem Direct Support Professional (Residential Care) in Bennington, VT for our client. In this role, you’ll support residents with daily living, life skills, and community engagement. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, assisting with activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. Candidates must have reliable transportation and schedule flexibility.
Responsibilities as the Per Diem Direct Support Professional:
- Resident Support: Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation to promote independence.
- Program Implementation: Follow individualized treatment plans and actively participate in team meetings and case reviews.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including client notes, incident reports, and payroll logs.
- Health & Safety: Ensure resident well-being by following agency policies and promptly reporting concerns.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and help maintain a clean, organized environment.
Qualifications for the Per Diem Direct Support Professional:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1 years of experience in a residential, direct support, or human services role.
- Certification: Maintain active Medication Administration Certification in accordance with Vermont state requirements.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of residential treatment plans, behavioral support strategies, and case documentation best practices.
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, dependable, and patient professional with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
