Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role ensures all materials, parts, and products are received, stored, and shipped according to company standards and customer requirements. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document and record all received materials in the inventory management system.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
- Communicate discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Safely operate material handling equipment.
- Able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment for extended period
