Materials Handler

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Materials Handler to join a leading Company located in the Simi Valley, CA surrounding area.Pay Rate: $20The Materials Handler ensures proper and timely flow of all materials and products from arrival until stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, while following policies, procedures, and safety regulations.Responsibilities:Receives, stocks, and disburses parts or materials, loads or unloads trucks, and disburses parts, materials, and supplies to other team members as requiredUnpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoicesMaintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory itemsExamines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing linesPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shippedDemonstrates all safety policies and proceduresPost weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for final shipmentDemonstrates all safety policies and proceduresOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent, and punctual attendance is requiredMay need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessaryBasic Hiring Criteria: High School Diploma or equivalent, and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations are requiredCertifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related fieldMinimum 2 years of relevant experienceDesired Qualifications:Ability to write, communicate, and utilize math skillsMust know cycle-countingSkilled in using powered industrial trucks, material handling equipment, and small hand toolsBasic computer skillsCapable of operating within a structured/supervised environment and following written and oral instructions with little supervisionGood interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management toolsBenefits offered to vary by the contract.
