Duties
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening using advanced tools and techniques.
- Use MIG welding, soldering, and other welding methods to join sheet metal components securely.
- Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components to meet specific repair needs using fabrication skills.
- Conduct auto painting utilizing airless paint spraying equipment to achieve smooth, flawless finishes.
- Replace or repair auto glass with precision, ensuring proper sealing and alignment for safety and aesthetics.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for disassembly, assembly, sanding, grinding, and detailing tasks.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and general automotive repairs to ensure vehicles are road-ready.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair environments.
- Strong MIG welding skills along with proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and soldering techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including auto restoration, auto painting, auto glass installation, and general automotive repair.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Ability to perform detailed auto body work such as sanding, detailing, and finishing for high-quality results.
- Knowledge of auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying for durable finishes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines.
