What you'll do:
This role will be an integral part of our finance team. You will be a senior member of our accounting staff, and will be able to work on a variety of tasks with varying degrees of pace and delivery. Below is an overview of the typical parts of this role:
- Assist with monthly accounting close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support monthly customer invoicing process (creation, review, and send out of invoices)
- Assist with company cash activities (vendor payments, customer cash receipts, bank account monitoring and reconciliations)
- Assist with maintaining customer and vendor records, and updating information and responding to inquiries as needed
- Monitor and analyze accounting data
- Produce and review financial reports
- Utilize and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Work with auditors and tax preparers to issue annual audited financial statements and required tax filings
- Assist with sales tax calculations, payments, and records
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience working in Accounting or Finance
- Intermediate or better skills in MS Office (emphasis on Excel)
- Proven knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Strong research, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software preferred
- CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred
