Firearm Assembly Technician

Position Overview:
Tactical Solutions Inc., a premier firearms manufacturer based in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Firearm Assembly Technician. This role plays a vital part in assembling, inspecting, and testing high-quality firearms that meet our industry-leading standards for precision and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble firearms and components following detailed instructions and safety protocols
• Inspect parts for fit, finish, and functionality throughout the assembly process
• Test completed firearms to ensure mechanical reliability and accuracy
• Identify and report defects or malfunctions during the build or testing process
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S and company safety guidelines
• Complete required documentation and inventory logs accurately and on time
• Support cross-functional teams as needed for process improvements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn firearm functionality
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a mandatory criminal background check and legally possess firearms

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Lift and handle up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools
• Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise, dust, or fumes

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Previous experience in firearm assembly or servicing
• Understanding of the firearm cycle of operations
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles
