Description
- Manage the handling, positioning, and maneuvering of materials through sewing machines and laser cutters.
- Perform sewing tasks for various materials, including zippers, hook and loop, webbing, pockets, and openings.
- Process a range of stitching patterns and specialized sewing functions.
- Operate a variety of sewing machines, including Single Needle, Double Needle, Buttonhole Machine, Button Sewing Machine, Bar Tacking Machine, Binding Machine, and Merrow Machine.
- Responsible for threading the machine, changing bobbins, and replacing needles as needed.
- Regularly inspect sewing machines and laser cutters to identify any defects or malfunctions.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in using single needle, bar tacking, and other specialized sewing machines.
- Uphold a strong focus on quality, ensuring the high standard of all sewn products.
- Examine and ensure the quality of stitching and final products.
- Replenish materials for sewing machines as required.
- Collaborate with designers/engineers on read patterns, trims, Bills of Materials (BOM), and product releases when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to the company's safety and quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Satisfactory completion of a skills assessment.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Consistent and predictable attendance.
- Ability to use and understand the metric system.
- Legal authorization to work in the USA on Government Contracts.
- Capable of working in prolonged periods of sitting.
- Capable of reaching, bending, pulling, and lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Capable of repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Requires good vision and fine motor skills.
