Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Unarmed Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This is a critical role that requires a high level of vigilance and situational awareness. Responsibilities:
- Patrol the premises on foot, by vehicle, or on bicycle to monitor for any security breaches or suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular checks of CCTV systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and to review footage as needed.
- Respond to alarms, reports of incidents, and other security concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide first aid and CPR as necessary to ensure the well-being of employees and visitors.
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and gather evidence to support investigations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required to address security concerns.
- Maintain a high level of visibility and presence on the premises to deter potential security threats.
- Develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies to minimize the risk of theft or loss.
- Manage conflicts and ensure that all interactions with employees, visitors, and other stakeholders are professional and respectful.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, security breaches, and other security-related events.
- Complete any necessary paperwork or reports in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- A certificate or training in security or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a security or law enforcement role is highly desirable.
- Possess current certification in CPR and first aid.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to lift, carry, or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Be willing to undergo a background check and any other required security screenings.
