JTF-Gold Logistics Planner

Overview

Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Logistician for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the Joint Task Force Gold (JTF-Gold), Logistics Directorate (J4) for facilities, engineering and sustainment, and environmental planning and compliance. This Logistics Planner will plan, coordinate, and evaluate logistics programs to support JTF-Gold operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs logistics management functions that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support specified missions or programs.
• Knowledge and experience in supporting Joint Sustainment Operations.
• Formulates logistical plans, operations, and procedures.
• Attends high-level command meetings.
• Investigates, coordinates, and recommends resolutions of JTF-Gold logistics problems and deficiencies.
• Develops logistics plans and supports operations in support of JTF-Gold projects.
• Ensures execution of plans and operations with responsibility for integration of emphasis in the areas of supply, transportation, Intermediate Logistics Support, and maintenance programs.
• Determines the effect or orders of higher echelons on the logistics support plans or operations and takes positive action to minimize adverse impact.
• Advises supervisor in plans formulation to implement JTF-Gold logistics requirements.
• The work involves projects that require analysis of interrelated issues concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of logistical programs.
• The work involves investigating and analyzing a variety of difficult logistics problems, or conditions associated with issues or problems about logistics operations.
• The results of the work provide solutions to logistics problems at various echelons and locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8 Years demonstrated/practical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of JF-Gold logistical organizations, capabilities, mission analysis, and the range of current JTF-Gold level operational plans.
• Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of logistical contingency planning.
• Knowledge is applied in the research, development, and exercise of logistical contingency plans.
• Knowledge of mission and programs of the COCOM to develop logistical portion of plans and exercises and to provide advice on logistical matters.
• Knowledge of and ability to conduct studies to assess and analyze the nature and status of issues or problems within the areas of supply and services and maintenance.
• Oral communicative skills must be sufficient to brief the J-4, Command Group, or other high-level organizations and individuals.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have a Secret Clearance to start.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance/SCI eligibility.
• Ability to work outside normal work hours at short notice as dictated by workload.
• Ability to work away from primary work location more than normal workday.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Current adjudicated Top-Secret Clearance/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Prior experience supporting Joint sustainment operations, including supply, maintenance, transportation, or distribution management.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including, but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Salary Range ($120,000-$150,000)
