Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience.
- Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about menu items and services.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions as needed.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and food safety standards is beneficial.
