Activities Aide
SHIFT: Full-Time
Schedule:
Sunday & Monday: Day shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
& Tuesday – Thursday: Afternoon/Evening shift (12:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
RATE: $16/hr.
Job Description:
Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of others? Join our team as an Activity Aide at Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Ulster, where you’ll plan and deliver engaging programs that promote wellness, creativity, and social connection for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Activities: Plan and implement diverse recreational programs tailored to resident interests and abilities.
- Engage Residents: Lead group and individual activities, such as arts & crafts, games, music, and exercise.
- Foster Community: Promote resident participation to enhance physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Document Participation: Track resident attendance and assess program effectiveness.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to meet residents' unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in activities or recreation, especially in skilled nursing or rehab settings (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for working with older adults.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in Therapeutic Recreation a plus.
