Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Estimator to lead our construction estimating team.
Duties
- Lead the preparation of detailed construction estimates for complex projects, including reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate cost models and proposals
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing data and ensure estimates reflect current market conditions
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, equipment costs, and overheads
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Oversee bid submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines
- Monitor project budgets during execution to support cost control efforts and identify potential variances early
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in High-End Residential
- Proficiency in estimating tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam; familiarity with other software is a plus
- Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations and safety standards
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present clear estimates
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
