What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Member position at Taco John's?
We are looking for flexible crew members to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the store is kept clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to be cross-trained and diverse in all stations of the restaurant are a must. Candidates are moved from station to station daily to ensure 360 degrees of flexible and successful training throughout the restaurant. Must be punctual, competitively driven, self motivated, and work well as a team.
Shifts vary. Part-time and Full-time positions available after probationary period.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and answer their questions in a friendly manner.
- Operate cash registers and other point-of-sale devices.
- Process payments and issue receipts to customers.
- Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restrooms and dining area.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Wear a headset when working in the back of house.
- Listen and react quickly to prepare orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain good sanitation practices when washing back of house dishes.
- Provide detailed attention to all periodic and routine cleaning duties.
- Prepare all menu items to scale and adhere to posted portioning's of all recipes.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities
- Experience in food service and quick service environments
- Proficient in cash handling and operating POS systems (Qu, Micros)
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and upsell products
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and sales transactions
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred
