Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, poaching pots, braising pans, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
• Follow strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment
• Assist with menu planning based on customer preferences and ingredient availability
• Manage high-volume food production during busy service periods while maintaining quality control
• Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients accurately
• Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times to meet health regulations
• Support catering events or special service requests as needed
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate supply needs promptly to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering chef with a focus on high-volume production
• Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Skilled in various cooking methods including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency operating commercial kitchen equipment
• Experience with menu planning and recipe adherence in fast-paced environments
• Background in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable
• Familiarity with dietary department requirements and catering services is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Exceptional teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving customers effectively
