Tacos Cancun Mexican Grill is looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Server/Cashier to join our team.

This position requires someone who is a strong team player and can help take charge of their shift and support the team members working around them. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling customer concerns independently when possible, staying organized during busy periods, and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• TAP card required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
• Must be dependable, responsible, and consistent
• Must work well as part of a team
• Must be able to lead and support the team during their shift
• Must be comfortable addressing customer complaints or concerns when management is unavailable
• Must be able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment

Job Duties:

• Consistently and accurately take customer orders at the front counter
• Greet customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system
• Serve food to customers in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining the dining area
• Sanitize tables, chairs, menus, and other customer areas
• Communicate and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate
• Help keep the restaurant organized and running smoothly throughout the shift

• Strong basic math and cash-handling skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

Previous server or cashier experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Starting pay is $14 per hour plus tips. Once fully trained and working independently, our servers typically earn approximately $140–$250 in tips per shift, depending on business volume and hours worked.

Please note that all new servers are required to train in the expo position or busser first depending on experience, so they can learn our menu, food presentation, how our enviorment works and order flow. Tips are not included during the training period and will begin once you are fully trained and working independently as a server.

Server positions at Tacos Cancun do not become available often, so we are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and able to thrive in a busy team environment.
