The Sr. Software Quality Engineer is results-driven, team oriented, self-motivated software quality professional who combines solid software testing credentials with emerging automation testing trends in the industry. This role will have the opportunity to bring innovations in software automation testing for delivering world-class cutting-edge products to the 7000 plus Taco Bell restaurants. The Sr. Software QA Engineer will report to the QA Team Lead.
Responsibilities:
• Review requirements and design documents to create risk-based test strategies, plans, and test cases.
• Design, maintain, and evolve automation frameworks and test suites; monitor, troubleshoot, and improve test reliability and coverage.
• Execute automated and manual testing, analyze results, and clearly communicate defects and quality risks.
• Lead defect investigation beyond the UI layer, analyzing logs, APIs, services, and system behavior to determine root cause.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to strengthen automation, debugging, and quality practices.
• Partner closely with development teams to improve testability, influence design decisions, and ensure stable releases.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• At least 4 years’ experience working in agile environment, as part of a Quality Engineering Team
• At least 5 years’ hands on manual testing experience with android applications, API, microservices
• At least 3 years’ hands on experience developing automation scripts with Rest Assured, Selenium, TestNG, WebDriver IO, Maven, Appium, Jenkins or GitLab
• At least 2 years’ hands on experience with Postman, JIRA, Qmetry, Datadog
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and driving quality improvements across a team or project.
Salary : $108,300 - $127,500
