At Taco Bell, we’re looking for passionate, high-performing leaders to join our team as District Managers (Area Coaches). This role provides overall leadership and operational direction to 3–6 restaurants. You’ll be the strategic partner to your Restaurant General Managers (RGMs), helping them execute their Annual Operating Plans and exceed performance goals in guest satisfaction, financial results, and employee engagement.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring direct involvement in coaching, mentoring, and operational excellence. You'll act as a champion for Taco Bell standards, developing your teams while ensuring top-notch service and compliance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Lead and support RGMs and Shift Leaders in daily operations to achieve excellence in guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and speed.
- Perform restaurant audits and calibrations to maintain brand standards.
- Roll out and reinforce new product initiatives and operational systems.
Customer Satisfaction & Product Quality
- Resolve serious customer issues and coach managers on service excellence.
- Use guest feedback and metrics to improve team performance.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed through observation and audit follow-ups.
Financial Accountability
- Partner with RGMs to develop and execute location-specific Annual Operating Plans.
- Review and act on sales, labor, inventory, and controllables to achieve profitability targets.
- Manage capital improvement plans, vendor relationships, and equipment needs.
- Monitor Speed With Service (SWS) and implement action plans for improvement.
People Development & HR Leadership
- Coach, develop, and recognize restaurant management teams.
- Select, onboard, and train restaurant leaders.
- Drive market staffing plans, build strong internal talent pipelines, and reduce turnover.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and a fair work environment.
- Hold roundtables and investigate employee complaints; maintain access to team at all levels.
Success Measures

- Achievement of HR and staffing targets
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of multi-unit restaurant or retail management
- Proven success in coaching and developing leaders
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, food safety, labor management, and team building
- High standards for service, product quality, and cleanliness
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $65,000–$71,000/year
- Bonus Opportunities based on performance
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, flexible scheduling
- Travel: Up to 75% between locations
