TACenergy is seeking a Colorado-based Regional Sales Manager (RSM) who has strong relationships in the energy/fuels sales marketing across the Rockies Region. RSMs actively manage a book of business, consisting of accounts/customers mostly concentrated within a defined region of the country that falls within the General Manager of Sales' larger area of responsibility. RSMs are responsible for managing and growing a profitable book of business by increasing sales to new and existing customers for the organization. RSMs hold the responsibility for the entire sales cycle of their assigned book, including, but not limited to, customer pipeline development and management, quoting, invoice accuracy, allocation/credit exposure management, and contract compliance.
Essential Functions
- Gain expert knowledge of assigned region’s supply, customers, carriers, and become knowledgeable of TACenergy’s nationwide offerings and services.
- Actively prospect qualified leads, and onboard new customers via cold-calls, referrals, email, social networking, and industry events.
- Work to meet or exceed sales volume and gross profit budget plans.
- Form relationships with supplier’s regional reps for market intelligence and supply opportunities to meet customer demand.
- Understand and communicate the credit application and approval process to customers.
- Understand all aspects of a customer setup.
- Develop daily pricing strategies for assigned markets, products, and customers to win business while maximizing margin.
- Monitor and adjust product allocations, pricing, and sourcing for optimal supply control and liftings.
- Gain understanding of price benchmarks (Platts, Argus, and OPIS) and mechanisms (rack, contract, day deals, fixed).
- Compare price options and assess risk elements between multiple pricing structures.
- Participate in internal bid procedures and leverage internal support as needed to execute successful bids.
