Marketing & Engagement Coordinator

Tacala Companies, the largest Taco Bell franchisee in the United States, is seeking a motivated Marketing & Administrative professional to support the execution of marketing, community and communication strategies across our 390 Taco Bell locations. This Birmingham, Alabama office-based role, located at our Restaurant Support Center, offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced, fun, and casual yet professional environment.

Specifically in this role, you will:

Content & Communications

• Source and develop written content for both internal and external communication channels.
• Create and maintain company-wide communications calendar.
• Manage Tacala’s communication inbox, responding to and routing inquiries from customers, vendors, and employees.
• Create and publish fun and employee-focused content (to include video/Reels) across Tacala’s social media platforms, blog/vlog, and website.
• Create fun, engaging digital campaigns that drive traffic, support recruiting efforts, and highlight community involvement.
• Create, review and publish all written content for departments to include presentations, training materials, handbooks, and in-store materials in partnership with Development, HR, Operations, and Training teams.

Engagement

• Assist in planning and executing key events, including large-scale conferences, trainings, meetings, grand openings, and Team Tacala Charities fundraisers.
• Coordinate community outreach events with local partners and organizations.
• Develop and send attention-grabbing press releases for key events to external communication channels.

Marketing & Administrative Support

• Support various marketing administrative functions, including coordinating schedules, managing and scheduling communications, processing materials, and assisting with event logistics from start to finish.
• Support new store openings by creating, coordinating, and distributing customized hiring materials and new store opening materials.
• Oversee DOT signage needs for all restaurant locations.
• Continually seek new and engaging ways to enhance department processes and strengthen employee engagement.

Educational/Skills/Minimum Experience Requirements:

• B.A. in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
• A minimum of five years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Exceptional organization skills; ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently as needed.
• Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and willingness to learn new programs like InDesign
• Experience with social media platforms, specifically Facebook and Instagram.
• Flexibility to travel on occasion.
