Area Coach

POSITION OVERVIEW

You're applying for a franchisee of Taco Bell. Tacala is one of the largest Taco Bell franchisees in the country, with over 375 locations and counting!

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and strategic Area Coach to lead 6-8 teams across various restaurants. This role is all about inspiring, guiding, and developing leaders and team members to deliver top-notch service and operational excellence.

As an Area Coach, you’ll be the driving force behind business growth, process improvements, and team engagement, ensuring each location hits its goals while maintaining a positive work environment.

RESTAURANT EXCELLENCE

• Ensure consistent customer satisfaction through scheduled visits and monitoring key initiatives
• Lead regular restaurant visits to assess brand standards and customer experience
• Partner with Restaurant Leaders to implement strategies that address opportunities and improve performance
• Oversee product and program rollouts to ensure proper execution
• Benchmark restaurants against competitors and drive continuous improvement
• Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining positive relationships

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

• Serve as a role model for “How We Work Together” principles
• Personally conduct orientation sessions to set new Restaurant Leaders up for success
• Build operational capability and alignment through consistent restaurant-level processes and operational meetings
• Coach and develop Restaurant Leaders to grow performance and leadership skills
• Provide regular feedback, including both constructive coaching and positive reinforcement
• Foster a culture of collaboration, positivity, and accountability with team members and peers

BUSINESS GROWTH

• Analyze financial performance at the area and restaurant level to identify trends and opportunities
• Drive EBITDA growth by ensuring efficiency, minimizing waste, and maintaining strong cost controls across all restaurants
• Partner with Restaurant Leaders to review P&L results and develop action plans to improve sales and profitability
• Maintain discipline around the Period Business Review process to reinforce strong business practices
• Demonstrate initiative by taking action without being told and maintaining a high level of activity

STRATEGIC GENEROUSITY

• Champion community involvement and charitable partnerships that enhance the company’s reputation
• Actively support the Round Up program and encourage Restaurant Leaders and teams to participate in initiatives that strengthen local communities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREFERENCES

• Associates or Undergraduate degree or equivalent Taco Bell/industry experience
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in either a food service or retail
• Demonstrated success in selecting, coaching, and developing managerial employees
• Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction
• Proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and delivery
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass background check criteria and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel within assigned area and market and spend approximately 70% of the time in the field
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
