We provide proactive IT support, Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, cybersecurity support, networking assistance, backup monitoring, and day-to-day technical support for business clients.
Position Summary
TAC Group is seeking an Entry Level / Intern Managed Services Technician to assist with day-to-day IT support, client service tickets, workstation setup, documentation, Microsoft 365 support, and basic technical troubleshooting for business clients across South Louisiana.
This role is designed for someone who is early in their IT career and wants hands-on experience in a Managed Service Provider environment. The right candidate should be dependable, professional, detail-oriented, comfortable learning technical processes, and willing to follow established procedures while developing real-world IT support skills.
Responsibilities
Assist with client service tickets under the guidance of senior technicians.
Help troubleshoot basic Windows desktop, laptop, printer, software, and connectivity issues.
Assist with Microsoft 365 user-support tasks, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, password resets, MFA, and basic account support.
Use remote support tools and RMM platforms to assist with endpoint troubleshooting and maintenance.
Document troubleshooting steps, ticket notes, time entries, and follow-up items clearly.
Assist with workstation setup, hardware preparation, software installation, and device cleanup.
Support user onboarding and offboarding tasks using established checklists and procedures.
Help monitor endpoint, backup, security, and device-health alerts as assigned.
Perform basic network troubleshooting, including internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, cabling, and printer connectivity symptoms.
Escalate issues that require higher-level technical review with useful notes and initial findings.
Provide occasional onsite support for local clients when accompanied or directed by senior staff.
Follow TAC Group standards for documentation, communication, security, and client service.
Required Qualifications
- Interest in building a career in IT support, managed services, cybersecurity, networking, or systems administration.
- Basic familiarity with Windows 10/11 workstations and MacOS.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and common business applications.
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and business users.
- Ability to follow checklists, document work clearly, and ask questions when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical processes.
- Dependable work habits, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client-site visits, if required for the schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or completion of an IT, networking, cybersecurity, computer science, or related technical program.
- Prior help desk, desktop support, computer repair, customer service, or technical troubleshooting experience.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, switches, and VPNs.
- Basic experience with Microsoft 365 admin tasks, Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, or account management.
- Exposure to ticketing systems, remote support tools, RMM platforms, or documentation tools.
- CompTIA A , Network , Security , Microsoft, or similar certifications in progress or completed.
Pay
$16-$21 per hour, depending on experience, schedule, technical foundation, and client-facing ability.
Schedule
Full-time, part-time, or internship schedule may be considered. Monday through Friday schedule, with specific hours based on business needs and candidate availability.
