Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Square POS; handle cash handling efficiently.
- Develop and suggest beverage recipes or modifications to meet guest preferences; stay current on trending drinks and mixology techniques.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies promptly, and monitor alcohol consumption for responsible service.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies in accordance with industry standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail mixing, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Exceptional customer service abilities with a friendly, energetic demeanor that encourages guest loyalty.
- Experience in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings demonstrating versatility across different hospitality environments.
- Solid understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations within the food service industry.
- Ability to manage bar inventory effectively while maintaining attention to detail in cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of mixology trends, brewing processes for craft beers, wine knowledge, spirits expertise, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Experience with bar management tasks such as supervising staff during shifts or assisting in training new team members is a plus.
