Overview
TA Truck Sales is one of Texas' fastest-growing used semi-truck dealerships. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Parts & Shop Coordinator to keep our repair shop running efficiently.
This position plays a critical role in reducing truck turnaround time by ensuring mechanics always have the right parts at the right time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable about heavy-duty diesel trucks, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Source and order heavy-duty diesel truck parts
- Compare pricing and availability from multiple vendors
- Work closely with mechanics to identify required parts
- Verify VINs, engine serial numbers, and transmission information before ordering
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
- Maintain an accurate parts inventory
- Track all parts orders and backorders
- Process warranty claims and vendor returns
- Maintain purchase records and update company software
- Keep the parts room clean and organized
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and dealerships
- Help minimize repair delays and improve shop efficiency
- Coordinate with management on daily shop priorities
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy-duty diesel parts experience (preferred)
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, and International trucks
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit DD15, PACCAR MX-13, and Volvo engines
- Ability to identify parts using VINs and engine serial numbers
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills

What You'll Do Every Day
- Review open repair orders
- Order parts for technicians
- Track shipments and backorders
- Receive and stock inventory
- Process returns and warranty parts
- Update repair orders with parts status
- Coordinate with vendors
- Keep the parts department organized
- Help ensure trucks are completed on schedule
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and shop environment
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
Compensation
- $20–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
- Full-time position
- No overtime available
