Welding

TA Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Welder to support our manufacturing operations. If you have a passion for precision, hands-on craftsmanship, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $24 - $30/hr. DOE

Hour: 3:30PM - 12:00AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Measure and prepare workpieces using calipers, rulers, grinders, and clamps.
• Operate manual and automated welding equipment in various positions (e.g., vertical, horizontal).
• Fabricate and assemble new or replacement metal parts according to project layouts.
• Ensure proper arc length and welding speed for desired fusion and bead quality.
• Inspect welds for precision, bead size, and structural soundness.
• Grind, clean, and repair weld joints or improperly welded sections.
• Assemble parts using hand tools and small power tools.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and accessories.
• Log work progress through our computer-based data collection system.
• Prioritize tasks by assessing job complexity, materials needed, and deadlines.
• Comply with all plant safety procedures and wear required protective gear.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Welding certification highly preferred

Experience:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience working with steel and aluminum
• Proven proficiency in wire feed welding, layout, and fabrication
• Experience with mechanical systems and hydraulics is a plus
• Comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder; etc.
• Demonstrate competency in basic shop math 
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawings.
• Flexible and responsive, with a strong teamwork orientation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed and continuous improvement.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Possess the ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve
