Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in Arlington Heights, IL. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor production machinery to manufacture components and finished products according to specifications. Responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic changeovers, and using hand tools for routine adjustments. The role involves inspecting products during and after production, documenting measurements, and reporting any deviations to maintain quality and safety standards. The Machine Operator will also perform basic preventive maintenance, keep the work area clean and organized, follow all safety procedures, and communicate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in machine operation, including setting up, running, and monitoring production machinery.
- Experience with quality control practices, including visual inspection, measurement, and documentation of product conformity.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery and safe use of hand tools for adjustments, minor repairs, and basic maintenance.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a similar production environment preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production orders.
- Commitment to workplace safety, reliability in attendance, and ability to stand, lift, and move materials as required by the role.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to learn and participate in on-the-job training is essential.
