Job Summary
T3i Run Coaches support the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course (NSWPC) by
developing SEAL and SWCC candidates through rigorous physical training programming
and development at the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School (NSPWS) in Coronado,
CA. Coaches are responsible for tailoring run programming, biomechanics feedback,
mentoring, and injury prevention to ensure candidates are prepared for success in NSW
selection and training pipelines.

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement
As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug-free workplace standards. To ensure compliance with this requirement, T3i conducts pre-employment drug screening for all new hire personnel (full time, part time, and independent contractor) and annual random drug screening for all current T3i personnel. All drug screening includes testing for the following drugs, at a minimum: Marijuana (CBD, hemp oil, and other cannabidiol use may result in a positive result), cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, 6-onoacetylmorphine, and PCP. Personnel who cannot pass drug screening are not eligible for employment with T3i.

CA. Coaches are responsible for tailoring run programming, biomechanics feedback,
mentoring, and injury prevention to ensure candidates are prepared for success in NSW
selection and training pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored run programming with guidance from NSWPS leadership and the Head Run Coach
- Conduct gait analysis and provide coaching feedback during track evolutions
- Lead group stretches, injury prevention, and self-myofascial release instruction
- Administer dynamic warm-ups and structured cool downs to prevent injury
- Demonstrate and enforce proper form for Physical Standard Test (PST) exercises
- Prepare students for SEAL and SWCC pipelines through guidance in running development
- Maintain performance records and databases for NSWPS students
- Teach fundamentals of running, injury prevention, mobility, and nutrition
- Mentor students to increase awareness of NSWPS physical standards
- Provide CPR or AED response while awaiting EMT support, if necessary
- Facilitate training in diverse environments including road, fields, beach, classrooms, and fitness facilities
- Plan and execute exit critiques; collate and report results with curriculum recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field, or four years of equivalent experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent (within the last 4 years) coaching or physical fitness leader experience
- Valid CPR/AED certification (American Red Cross)
- Valid running and/or endurance sports certification from the United Endurance Sports
- Coaching Academy (UESCA) or Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) – required for Assistant Running Coaches
- Completion and qualification through Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) ATV rider course prior to employment
- Naval Special Warfare High-Risk Instructor Certification (on-site training, contingent upon hire)
- Ability to meet and maintain minimum PST standards within 30 calendar days of reporting IAW current MILPERS MAN 1220-410 annually
- Capable of leading formation runs for 70 minutes at an 8:00 mile pace
- Master’s degree in Health and Exercise Science, Physiology, or Kinesiology
- Valid USA Track and Field Association Level 1, 2, or 3 Run Coach certification
- Preferred additional strength and conditioning certifications (e.g., NSCA CSCS, TSAC-F)
- Prior experience mentoring candidates in high-performance military training environments
