Program Security Officer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Summary

T2S Solutions is seeking an experienced Program Security Officer to lead and oversee security operations for a mission-critical Program supporting classified and unclassified satellite, ground, and mission operations. The position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with DoD, Intelligence Community, and commercial security requirements, while enabling efficient execution of engineering, testing, and 24/7 operations. This role partners with program management, cybersecurity leadership, and operations to maintain a secure, compliant, and operationally effective environment. 20-30% travel expected.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Personnel Security

• Serve as the primary Program person responsible for compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and applicable government security directives
• Manage personnel security clearances (PCLs), including processing, tracking, and reinvestigations
• Oversee visitor control, access authorization, and badging for classified and controlled areas
• Ensure proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information and materials
  
  

Program & Operational Security

• Support classified and sensitive programs by ensuring security requirements are integrated into operations centers, labs, HWIL environments, and field activities
• Coordinate security support for 24/7 operations, shift work, and on-call personnel
• Advise leadership on security risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance impacts related to program execution
• Support security planning for international travel, site visits, and partner engagements
  
  

Compliance, Audits & Training

• Prepare for and support government security inspections, audits, and assessments
• Develop and deliver security education and training programs for employees and cleared staff
• Maintain accurate security documentation, logs, and records
• Investigate and report security incidents, violations, and adverse information
  
  

Coordination & Leadership

• Work closely with other T2S Facility Security Officers, Chief Operations Officer and Cybersecurity Manager to align physical, personnel, and information security
• Coordinate with Program Managers, Operations Center leadership, HR, and Legal to ensure security compliance supports business and mission needs
• Act as the primary interface with DCSA, government security representatives, and customer security offices
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of current or prior designation as a Facility or Program Security Officer under NISPOM
• In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, personnel security processes, and facility / program clearance requirements
• Experience managing classified programs in DoD or IC environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting space systems, defense, and mission operations environments
• Familiarity with JPAS/DISS, NBIS, and related security systems
• Experience coordinating security for mixed classified/unclassified facilities, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)
• Background supporting 24/7 operations centers or secure labs
• Appropriate / relevant SSO, PSO, FSO certifications
