SENIOR ENGINEER

The Role.  

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer who loves building, solving problems, and turning messy, half-formed requirements into working software. You’ll work across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and automation — wearing many hats as needed. 

You’ll be a key part of scaling our engineering org: partnering with offshore developers, reviewing their work, ensuring what they build integrates cleanly into our systems, and helping onboard them into our stack and tooling. 

You should enjoy the challenge of an environment that moves fast, sometimes changes direction, and doesn’t always hand you perfect specs. Instead of being thrown off by that, you find ways to create structure and push projects forward. 

You’ll also work with the Staff Engineer and VP of Engineering to adopt modern AI-powered development practices that help the whole team move faster and ship higher-quality work. 

What you will be doing: 

Full-Stack Engineering 

• Build features across Node.js services, React/Next.js applications, Nest.js APIs, and integrations with internal/external platforms. 

• Work across our data layer (MongoDB PostgreSQL) and contribute to improving schemas, queries, and performance. 

• Support our cloud modernization efforts — migrating workloads from Kubernetes/Flux into AWS managed and serverless offerings. 

AI-Aided Development 

Implement practical, proven AI workflows used by top engineering organizations, including: 

• Using AI to accelerate coding tasks, documentation, testing, and code review preparation. 

• Leveraging AI to automate repetitive tasks and increase output quality. 

• Helping evaluate and adopt AI development tools and workflows. 

Offshore Team Support 

• Review PRs from offshore engineers. 

• Provide technical guidance, clarify requirements, and ensure code quality. 

• Help create onboarding materials and repeatable processes that make offshore teams productive quickly. 

Partnership With the Business 

• Jump on calls with internal teams to clarify requirements and turn ambiguity into actionable engineering tasks. 

• Translate rough ideas into user stories, technical plans, and clean implementation paths. 

Adaptability & Culture 

• Stay positive in a fast-changing environment, help create structure amid shifting priorities, and address issues constructively. 

• Support a healthy, collaborative engineering culture — no egos, no energy vampires. 

What we are looking for 

• 5 years of professional software engineering experience. 

• Strong proficiency with Node.js, React, Next.js, Nest.js, and modern backend/frontend patterns. 

• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure and M365 familiarity helpful). 

• Ability to operate independently when requirements are unclear. 

• Experience reviewing code and mentoring teammates — especially offshore devs. 

• Willingness to adopt AI tools to boost efficiency and code quality. 

• Comfort working across automations, integrations, and rapidly shifting priorities. 

• Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
