As the Manager of Quality Improvement and Special Projects, you will work collaboratively with clinical centers within the national learning health system on numerous quality improvement projects and industry-sponsored special projects.

As the Manager of Quality Improvement and Special Projects, you will work collaboratively with clinical centers within the national learning health system on numerous quality improvement projects and industry-sponsored special projects.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a content expert on improvement methodologies and works with clinical centers to drive quality improvement projects that test and implement interventions to improve health outcomes in diabetes, equitably.
- Coach and train national teams on quality improvement (QI) tools and methods, with a focus on diabetes, the social determinants of health, and health equity.
- Predict and identify barriers to project implementation, data mapping integration, develop strategies to address them, and support completion.
- Provide staff support for meetings, committees, special projects, and conferences.
- Establish strong working relationships with the teams to improve performance.
- Host and facilitate monthly calls and webinars.
- Draft project reports and implementation summaries.
- Create and update population health performance dashboards.
- Analyze data and develop run/control charts to demonstrate changes.
- Develop QI and population health content for national teams.
- Manage and lead special projects, funded by industry partners, that align with T1DX-QI goals and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- The position requires strong project management, follow-up, excellent interpersonal and organizational ability, and a keen analytic skill set
- Master’s degree in related field preferred (MHA or MPH) with at least two years' work experience or bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant work experience in QI or Population Health.
- CPHQ/CPHRM certification or other equivalent improvement certification.
- Previous experience with clinical or healthcare data systems.
- Previous experience with quality and performance management systems.
- Previous experience with Population Health Improvement projects.
- Ability to travel within the United States to a clinic and/or meeting sites.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Clinical background and training preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital EMR systems including but not limited to Epic or Cerner.
