What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate and wide range of commercial agreements, including procurement, supply, manufacturing, services, and vendor contracts.
- Support development and construction related contracting for G2_Austin.
- Partner closely with commercial, operations, procurement, and leadership teams to align risk with business priorities.
- Create and maintain contract templates and playbooks to increase speed and consistency.
- Establish and manage clear processes for legal intake, review, and approvals.
- Provide guidance on compliance, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with outside counsel when necessary, ensuring constant discipline and clear scope.
- Support internal stakeholders on issue-spotting and preventative risk management.
- Business-oriented and pragmatic, meaning you know when to push and when to move.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling manufacturing environment.
- Clear, direct communicator who can explain risk without overcomplicating.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously.
- Someone who sees legal as a partner to growth, not just a gatekeeper.
- JD degree and admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
- 5 years of relevant experience (in-house experience strongly preferred).
- Experience drafting and negotiating procurement, supply, and commercial contracts.
- Experience in the solar industry, manufacturing, energy, or a related technical/industrial sector preferred.
- Strong ability to coordinate cross-functionally and manage multiple projects at once.
- Familiarity with compliance, employment-related matters, or multi-site operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
