What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire Technician position at T&W Tire?
T&W Tire in Ardmore is seeking an experienced tire technician to add to our team.
PLEASE READ ENTIRE JOB POSTING, DRUG TESTING IS MANDATORY AND PERFORMED QUARTERLY. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS FOR EMPLOYMENT. THIS POSITION IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION, A FAILED DRUG TEST FOR ANY REASON IS NOT ACCEPTED.
PAY WILL BE WEEKLY ON FRIDAYS
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Mounting/Dismounting, and repairing various size tires.
- Installing new tires on a variety of different class vehicles.
- Lifting/Stacking tires from 6" to 22/24.5" Forklift to stack heavier tires.
- Bending/Standing for several hours a day.
- General shop clean-up/straightening during down-time.
Job Requirements:
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to show up on time, ready to work.
- Driver's license is not required, but encouraged, as you will not be able to drive customer vehicles/company vehicles in and out of shop otherwise.
- Must have strong work ethic, and willingness to learn, take directions.
- We will train on site if training is necessary.
- Must be able to work in the heat. We do have shop doors up in the summertime, but it does get very hot. We do have an air conditioned break room for breaks.
- We do provide uniforms, until you reach the uniform phase of employment, jeans and t-shirt are suitable, as long as t-shirt is business appropriate.
This position will be Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, or until the last customer leaves.
