Tasks/Aufgaben
Position Summary:
Perform EMC and Wireless testing per the requirements detailed in national and international regulatory standards and test procedures in a laboratory environment. This is an entry-level, test engineering position.
Full-time exempt position for TÜV SÜD Product Service Division.
This position is on-site in Alpharetta, GA.
Responsibilities:
Interpret an EMC Test Plan.
Set up of basic RF Emissions Tests.
Set up of basic RF Immunity Tests.
Electrostatic Discharge Testing
Learn Basic Electrical Transient Tests.
Troubleshot RF test systems.
Set up, configure, and validate customer projects and equipment to prepare them for testing.
Learn how to set up and operate common EMC lab equipment, including, but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generation devices, RF Receivers & Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators, RF Power Meters, Voltmeters, Fiber Optic Remote Monitoring Systems.
Qualifications/Qualifikationen
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of and proficiency in the use of most MS Office 365 applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail
Ability to adapt
Willingness to consider others ideas and to work with others.
