Authorized Inspector - National Board NB-263

Your Tasks

• Perform shop and field (on-site) AMSE/NB Boiler & Pressure Vessel inspections for ARISE-ABIIC / TÜV SÜD customers.
• Document daily inspections performed for verification, witness activities, and quality program monitoring activities in the Inspector Diary.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation to appropriate standards.
• Stay updated on certifications, compliance, courses, experience criteria, safety requirements, procedures, and technologies.

Your Qualifications

• Meet the experience criteria listed in ASME QAI-1 and RCI-1, Table 1, and the satisfactory completion of the National Board “New Construction Commission” course, hold a valid and current National Board Commission card. (Table 1 can be found in Part I, page 4 of the 2025 NB-263 RCI-1 Rules for Commissioned Inspectors, produced under copyright by The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors)
• Attended the National Board course for Authorized Inspectors and received a passing grade on the Authorized Inspector exam given by the National Board.
• Achieve a minimum of 80 hours on the job training in ASME shop/field fabrication and inspection under the supervision of a designated Authorized Inspector.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, customer orientation, and self-management skills.
