Direct Care Staff / Youth Mentor - Residential Youth Group Home

T&S Youth Project is seeking reliable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Care Staff to work with adolescents in a residential youth group home setting. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable. able to maintain boundaries, and passionate about helping youth build stability, life skills, and confidence.

Direct Care Staff provide daily supervision, support, transportation, structure, and encouragement to youth in our care. Staff must be able to remain calm during behavioral challenges, follow agency policies, document appropriately, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

* Provide direct supervision and support to youth in a residential setting

* Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment

* Assist youth with daily routines, hygiene, meals, chores, school attendance, appointments, and recreation

* Transport youth to school, appointments, community activities, family visits, and other approved locations

* Use trauma-informed, de-escalation, and positive behavior-support approaches

* Monitor behaviors, document incidents, complete daily notes, and communicate concerns to supervisors

* Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times

* Respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow all safety policies

* Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required certifications

* Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overnight shifts

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in social work, humans services, or related fields preferred

* Experience working with youth, behavioral health, child welfare, residential treatment, group homes, or trauma-impacted populations perfered

* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

* Ability to pass background checks and all required pre-employment requirements

* Ability to complete CPR/First Aid, de-escalation, and agency required training

* Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to remain professional. patient, and composed in high-stress situations

Schedule

Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, qualifications, shifts availability, and relevant certifications.
