**Job Summary:**
Sabino Recovery, a leading treatment center, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and operational environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:**

Lead, Manage, Accountability (LMA)

· Provide leadership and direction to Facilities and Housekeeping team members.

· Manage staffing, scheduling, workload prioritization, and resource allocation.

· Foster a culture of safety, accountability, service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

· Ensure work order systems, maintenance schedules, and department processes are effectively managed.

· Manage facilities operations within approved budget parameters.

· Ensure organizational assets, inventory, equipment, and resources are properly maintained and safeguarded.

· Ensure company assets are properly maintained, stored, tracked, and protected.

· Coordinate asset relocation activities and communicate updates to appropriate departments.

 

Problem Solving and Communication

· Partner with department leaders to identify facility needs and operational priorities.

· Collaborate with Clinical, Nursing, Compliance, and Administrative teams to support organizational goals.

· Maintain effective communication with leadership regarding facility conditions, project status, and operational concerns.

· Respond to facility emergencies and critical operational issues.

· Evaluate facility-related challenges and implement practical solutions.

· Prioritize competing demands while maintaining operational continuity.

· Exercise sound judgment when addressing repair, maintenance, staffing, or safety issues.

· Coordinate inspections, certifications, regulatory reviews, and emergency preparedness activities.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, project documentation, and work order tracking systems.

· Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, vendors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.

· Facilitate communication regarding the movement and tracking of company assets and equipment.

 

Environment of Care Safety, Compliance, and Aesthetics

· Support risk management and performance improvement initiatives.

· Promote a culture focused on workplace safety and accident prevention.

· Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are followed.

· Maintain compliance with OSHA standards, state regulations, federal regulations, building codes, licensure requirements, and Joint Commission standards.

· Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including disaster and evacuation drills.

· Ensure required inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance activities are completed and documented.

· Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming facility environment ensuring resident areas and public spaces meet organizational standards.

· Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) systems and hazardous materials documentation.

· Ensure all chemicals, tools, paints, and hazardous materials are properly stored, labeled, and secured.

· Oversee housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards are consistently met.

 

Building and Grounds Management

· Maintain the operational integrity of all buildings, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.

· Ensure effective operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool. 

· Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and operational risks.

· Respond to maintenance requests and facility service needs in a timely manner.

· Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.

· Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, testing, and servicing of facility systems.

· Monitor equipment condition and recommend replacement or upgrade strategies when appropriate.

· Maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of all grounds and outdoor areas.

· Ensure property grounds remain free from debris, hazards, and maintenance concerns.

· Oversee maintenance of stables, challenge course facilities, and recreational amenities. 

· Support equine operations as needed during periods of staffing shortages or operational necessity. 

· Maintain inventory accountability for maintenance equipment, supplies, and tools.

 

Project Oversight and Management

· Plan, coordinate, and oversee facility renovation, improvement, and infrastructure projects.

· Partner with executive leadership to prioritize and execute strategic facility initiatives.

· Ensure projects support organizational goals, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements.

· Select, coordinate, and oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers.

· Monitor vendor performance, quality, safety, timelines, and budget compliance.

· Ensure contracted work meets organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

· Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

· Coordinate facility upgrades, system replacements, and major maintenance projects.

· Monitor progress, address obstacles, and communicate project status to leadership.

· Maintain project records, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

· Track project performance, expenditures, and outcomes.

· Provide leadership with timely updates regarding facility initiatives, risks, and opportunities.



**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred. Additional education, degree programs, or certifications is a plus. 
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as maintenance and repair equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.

**Work Environment:**
The Facilities Manager will work in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, work at heights, and operate various tools and equipment. The position may also require on-call availability for emergencies.
