Job Description
T&R Construction is looking to hire an experienced mechanic to join our team! This position is responsible for the various operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our semis, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment.

Job Requirements
- Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, semis, and any other equipment as needed
- Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments.
- Perform required DOT inspections to ensure equipment is in proper, safe working order.
- Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and organized mechanical records.
- Work in a professional and respectful manner with all coworkers
- Help and take direction from Lead Mechanic
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
- Must be able to make phone calls and communicate with other businesses for diagnostic purposes.
- Must possess valid drivers license and an acceptable MVR to be covered by company insurance
Ideal Candidate
- Class A CDL
- Experience working on CAT / Komatsu earthmoving equipment
- Stable work history
