Job Summary
T&R Construction is a utility and civil construction company specializing in utilities, concrete, excavation, and overall site preparation. T&R is growing and looking to add another Utilities Crew Foreman to the team! TheUtilities Crew Foreman will lead and oversee utility installation projects within the civil construction sector. This role is vital in ensuring that utility infrastructure—such as pipelines, conduits, and related systems—is installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant regulations and project specifications. As a Crew Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, manage a crew of skilled workers, and ensure that projects progress smoothly from start to finish. Your leadership will drive quality work, safety compliance, and timely completion of complex utility projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews engaged in installing pipelines, conduits, and other utility infrastructure on civil sites.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide installation activities accurately.
- Manage safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards
- Oversee quality control processes including blueprint reading review, construction drawing verification, and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate with project managers to ensure seamless communication across all phases of construction scheduling and execution.
- Quality Control: Inspect work-in-progress, verify as-built measurements, and coordinate with city inspectors to resolve field conflicts.
- Confirm and oversee all city inspections while being familiar with local code enforcement and inspectors and resolving conflicts or issues throughout the project.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment, inspect work throughout the project’s progress to ensure workmanship and materials conform to plan
- Adhere to construction schedules, track job costs and changes, and notify PM to complete back-charges, if any.
- Prepare and submit daily field reports on progress, materials used, changes, issues or adjustments before leaving the job site each day.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a focus on utilities installation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Valid experience supervising pipeline or utility infrastructure projects within the civil construction industry.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety training are highly preferred; additional certifications related to construction estimating or project management are a plus.
- Possess a valid drivers license with acceptable driving record to be covered by our company insurance.
