Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage inventory, and contribute to merchandising efforts. Your ability to engage with customers and promote products will be key to driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring that products are presented attractively.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or scheduling appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 months experience in retail or another environment with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
- Professional, energetic and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal/interpersonal communications skills.
- Flexible scheduling availability.
- Completed High school diploma/GED.
- Bilingual preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 9 hours) on the sales floor.
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.
