Duties

- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly and assisting with inventory counts to support efficient store operations
- Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors, ensuring clear and professional interactions
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in team settings
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on active listening and clear articulation
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and cashiering is highly valued
- Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and retail calculations
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is beneficial
