Marzetti is looking for an Intern to join the Logistics Team in the summer of 2025!
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating a Lean Culture - Support Lean Six Sigma site assessment opportunities
- Value Stream Mapping - Assist in creating value stream and process maps for key processes to improve standardization and identify value-add and non-value-added activities
- Gemba Walks - Participate in gemba walks with site leadership to observe processes firsthand and identify wastes
- Kaizen Event Support - Lead Kaizen projects via the DMAIC problem solving structure
- Standard Work Documentation - Help document and standardize standard work procedures for key processes
- 5S Audits - Develop, conduct, or assist with 5S audits in work areas
- Metrics - Create dashboards or visual management boards to track performance
- Root Cause Problem Solving - Participate or support RCPS via A3 problem solving template

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with a focus in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations Management
- Logistics
- Operational Excellence
- Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Demonstrates sound judgment and applies logical thinking when creating solutions
- Demonstrates curiosity and initiative
- Displays a professional, positive attitude with team members
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel pivot tables)
- Understanding of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma exposure and/or certifications preferred)
