Job Title: Dump Truck Driver
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise in operating heavy-duty vehicles will be essential as you navigate various routes, manage loads, and maintain safety standards. What you’ll do
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt.
- Load and unload materials at designated sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials delivered.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Navigate various terrains and road conditions while ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Basic qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to drive Manual Transmission (Stick Shift).
- Experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in manual transmission driving.
- Familiarity with flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures.
