Legal Assistant
Seeking an experienced, efficient legal professional to provide accurate and timely administrative support to corporate legal counsel, ensuring legal department effectiveness.

Responsibilities
- Administers all customer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other legal documents including legal emails; reviews, drafts, edits, amends and proofreads legal documents
- Logs and tracks status to ensure all legal documents are addressed in a timely fashion. Prioritizes and routs incoming emails and messages to responsible parties. Monitors deadlines and continuously keeps Corporate Counsel updated as to the status of contracts
- Creates, organizes and maintains all legal files and project folders including all supporting documents and Corporate Counsel’s notes
- Maintains physical and electronic filing systems for maximum efficiency. Researches and implements client/case management software
- Calendar/appointment scheduling and maintenance
- Manages legal communication with internal and external clients. Answer phones and take messages. Mail, fax, email and upload legal documents
- Responsible for taking, transcribing and disseminating various meeting minutes
- Performs personal assistant functions for legal counsel including processing health claims and booking travel arrangements
- Supports the general administrative team including answering phones and ordering/arranging lunches
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years administrative experience; 50 wpm typing speed.
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
- Aptitude to understand legal and construction documents.
- Detail oriented with excellent verbal and organizational skills.
- Able to work autonomously.
Work Location
- Glen Cove Office. This is an IN OFFICE POSITION.
