What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer position at T&M Associates?
T&M Associates is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing MEP team. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for a wide range of building types. This individual will support project objectives, contribute to financial success, assist with technical review of proposals and project tracking, and help mentor junior technical staff.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing systems including domestic hot and cold water, sanitary and vent, storm drainage, natural and medical gas, compressed air, sprinkler, fire pump, and clean agent fire suppression systems.
This position can be based out of any of our NJ or PA offices.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design across various building types
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred)
- Certified Plumbing Design (CPD) and/or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certifications (preferred)
- Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD required
- Experience with Revit preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $130,000 - $165,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
